TPM3D has successfully concluded its second round of internal job rotation training, with the graduation ceremony held at the company’s Zhongshan manufacturing base. The 21-day program, which ran from January 15 to February 4, focused on combining theory and hands-on practice to build cross-functional expertise and strengthen collaboration across the full business value chain.
The training covered key departments, including Manufacturing, Operations (Commissioning, Printing, and After-Sales teams), and was designed to develop versatile, application-oriented talent capable of supporting TPM3D’s growing SLS 3D printing business. Through a blended approach of classroom instruction, on-site practical exercises, and case reviews, participants gained a comprehensive understanding of how different functions connect across production, operations, and customer service.
With the goals of “building a solid foundation, strengthening practical skills, and breaking down silos,” the program was structured in stages and modules. In the Manufacturing track, training focused on equipment installation and commissioning, safety standards, and fault diagnosis. The Operations track emphasized SLS 3D printing technology, 3D file analysis, customer communication, after-sales troubleshooting, and on-site service scenarios—key capabilities for delivering reliable, production-grade additive manufacturing solutions.
During the graduation ceremony, mentors shared insights from the program and outlined areas for future improvement. Jiehua Mai, from the Operations Commissioning Team, noted that assessment results showed a marked improvement in participants’ understanding of SLS printing technology. He added that future programs will better align course design with trainees’ needs and explore dedicated training equipment to ensure consistency and effectiveness.
One trainee representative reflected on the experience, saying the 21-day program helped bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical understanding. “In the past, when discussing parameters with customers, I relied on memorized data. Now I can clearly explain the advantages by linking machine principles with process impacts. That’s been the biggest gain,” the trainee said. Overall, participants reported expanded skill sets and a deeper appreciation of cross-departmental workflows.
At the ceremony, TPM3D’s CEO, Mr. Zhai, emphasized that the company’s training strategy remains firmly rooted in frontline operational skills. He outlined plans to further optimize the model through a combination of pre-learning and intensive hands-on practice, while continuing to strengthen after-sales and field service training. CFO Mr. Kuang encouraged employees to take initiative in their daily work, collaborate closely with technical and after-sales teams, and continue developing practical problem-solving skills to better serve customers.
At the conclusion of the program, the Operations Printing Team was recognized as the Outstanding Mentorship Team, while several participants, including Yang Fei, received the “Outstanding Trainee” award. Assessment results showed significant improvement in participants’ understanding of equipment principles and process parameters, along with a stronger awareness of cross-functional collaboration.
Looking ahead, TPM3D’s Human Resources team will consolidate feedback from mentors and trainees to refine training materials and course structures, providing more targeted support for future job rotation programs. The company views continuous talent development as a key pillar in delivering stable, high-quality SLS 3D printing solutions to global customers.
