ACHWISDOM Expands SLS Industry Applications with TPM3D Printers

In 2021, polymer powder materials surpassed photosensitive resins in the global 3D printing materials market for the first time (source: Wohlers Report). Nylon has since become a key material category for many printing service providers.

At the same time, industry data shows a shift in applications. End-use parts now account for 34% of 3D printed models, surpassing functional prototypes at 24%. This indicates that 3D printing is no longer limited to design verification, as users increasingly expect models to serve directly as final products.

The data reflects a broader trend: 3D printing technologies that support small-batch and mass production of end-use parts are developing quickly. Selective Laser Sintering (SLS), in particular, is well-suited for producing non-metallic parts at scale. As a result, more manufacturers are introducing SLS systems and nylon printing services into their operations.

Long-Term Partnership with TPM3D

ACHWISDOM recognized this opportunity early. As far back as 2016, the company worked with TPM3D to bring SLS equipment into its services. In recent years, with rising market demand and improving technology, ACHWISDOM has identified SLS as a driver of business growth. The company expanded its cooperation with TPM3D by adding four TPM3D P360 machines and two PPS all-in-one powder processing workstations.

ACHWISDOM, as a high-tech service-oriented enterprise, promotes the idea of “on-demand manufacturing.” It delivers digital solutions from concept to finished product, helping customers at home and abroad validate designs cost-effectively, shorten the “develop–measure–improve” cycle, and bring minimum viable products to market faster.

Its services integrate both traditional and additive manufacturing, covering 3D scanning, SLS 3D printing, machining, sheet metal fabrication, and mold manufacturing, offering customers a complete manufacturing solution.

Proven Track Record

Focusing on product quality and application development, ACHWISDOM has delivered over one million parts across industries, including automotive, aerospace, consumer electronics, medical, and education. The company has built long-term partnerships with well-known organizations such as COMAC, CASIC, Bosch, Honeywell, Magna, Tongji University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China University of Mining and Technology, and the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

The nylon parts showcased below were produced using ACHWISDOM’s TPM3D P360 systems. Each P360 offers a forming cylinder size of 360 × 360 × 600 mm, a high-performance imported CO₂ laser, and a layer thickness range of 0.06–0.3 mm. The machine balances precision with production efficiency and features an integrated control system that ensures safety, stability, and a compact footprint.

For part cleaning and powder recycling, ACHWISDOM pairs its four P360 units with two TPM3D PPS workstations, which support cleaning, powder mixing, and automated online powder supply for two machines simultaneously. This setup reduces dust during cleaning, increases automation, improves efficiency, and lowers labor requirements.

ACHWISDOM also provides a range of post-processing services—including polishing, assembly, painting, and electroplating—delivering finished products that meet the diverse needs of its customers.
